I used my miles to redeem for two way business class tickets, and in total I only paid £13.99 for UK's airport tax and SGD57.30 for Singapore's airport tax.
Moral of the story is: please look into using a miles focused credit card and not waste all your spending!!
The SilverKris lounge was still under renovations at the time of my visit, so all SQ lounge users had to share one lounge, which means that the lounge was incredibly packed.
Yay to being able to stretch my legs!!
The lounge at heathrow airport was really mehhh.
Sad looking bacon sandwich.
Their famous satay.
Niçoise Salad
Biryani from the Book the Cook option.
Ice cream cake.
I only wanted the cheddar and nothing else, but they insisted on giving me the whole plate because everything will be thrown away after the flight. How wasteful! And I didn't touch anything else anyway because I don't like brie oops.

Photos from my first meal (supper)-
Crabmeat Salad
Lobster Thermidor (from the Book the Cook option). This new recipe is better than the old one!
Banana cake I think??

Breakfast-
There is a huge beverage selection for business class - not just alcohol but non alcoholic beverages too! Feels so fancy to have an iced latte at 35000 feet up in the air.

I felt that the service was also better than pre-covid. On my flight to Manchester, the stewardess gave me a bag full of chips and chocolate bars when she learnt that I was travelling on my own HAHA. And on my flight back, the stewardess gave me 20 TWG tea bags because she figured I must love their teas (I ordered it four times throughout the flight) I EITHER LOOK LIKE A CHEAPSKATE OR THEY MUST BE REALLY NICE (COULD BE BOTH)
