Mid-Autumn Festival
IMG_5313edit

Sadly, mid-autumn is no longer that big of an occasion in my family as we get older.

I used to parade around the neighbourhood with my lantern back when I was still a primary school kid, and then moved on to sparklers when it was still legal. When I outgrew that eventually, we would at least have tea with mooncakes out on the balcony. But now it's just another regular day where we go about doing our own things.

It completely slipped my mind that today is Mid-Autumn when I made dinner plans with Teresa, so I suggested checking out the exhibits at gardens by the bay last week to pre-celebration. I don't know, it's probably just a gesture to make myself better that I made an effort to acknowledge the event, at least.

That's how you get the shot, folks. (nah my back was just aching)
