I had been wanting to try Bread Street Kitchen since they opened in Singapore, but have received overwhelmingly bad reviews right since day one, and hadn't managed to find anyone to 踩地雷 with me. But my sister offered to buy me dinner for my birthday, so here we go:
Hello Gordon Ramsay, for someone who judges people so harshly, please do a self-check on your own establishment because the scallops were disgustingly overcooked! I thought I was eating scallop-flavoured chewing gum.
Smoked Burratina, Pomegranate Jam, Almond Streusel, Truffle Dressing, Lavosh

The texture of the burratina resembled mozzarella and was tasteless. I was just saying it's hard to go wrong with burrata in my Buko Nero post and here we have a burrata that's shit on its own.
Caesar Salad, Pancetta, Anchovies, Soft Boiled Egg, Parmesan

Standard, which worked out as one of the best things I've had that night.
Beef Fillet Wellington, Mashed Potatoes, Glazed Carrots, Seasonal Greens, Red Wine Jus

The highlight of this dish was the mashed potato. The duxelles in the beef wellington had a flavour that I didn't enjoy and made this dish underwhelming. The glazed carrots were nice, though.
USDA Sirloin Steak

Best dish of the night! This was really, really good.
Camera eats first.
We were seated right by the pass which gave us an excellent view all night to nitpick on their service hahaha. For one, we saw so many plates of food dying on the pass (food that is left out on the pass for too long and is getting cold because no wait staff came to pick it up). I was so tempted to let the kitchen know I'll come pick up my own food when it's ready. I mean, it's literally right next to us.

Hello Gordan Ramsay, you have filmed so many seasons of Kitchen Nightmares yet you are unaware that your own restaurant needs saving.

They gave me a hand signed birthday card which was a really nice touch because I am a sucker for cards and handwritten things, but I will never return, and won't be surprised if it closes down. (I think I will be more surprised if it doesn't close down.)
