Copenhagen: Food Tour
I've always found city tours cliché and not value for money. You are in a city, dude. You can do it on your own. Unless it's out of the city and travelling is difficult, then okay, it's justifiable. Otherwise, it's a nope.
But I signed up for a food tour. WHY?! Here's why:
1) I only had 2 full days in Copenhagen. There's far too much that I wanted to try, but too little time and stomach space.
2) I figured food tours would be a great way to sample a variety of things, in manageable portions.
3) It worked out to be cheaper.
Here's the list of places we went. Photos in chronological order:
Sankt Peders Bakery on Sankt Peders Stræde: Danish Pastry
Torvehallerne: Cheese & Cherry liquor tasting
Aamanns 1921: Smørrebrød & snaps
Rødder & Vin: Cider tasting
Brus: Chef’s choice + beer
Grød on Jægersborggade: Porridge
Ro Chokolade: Flødebolle and ice cream
Fermented French Fries! Very interesting. Both the flavour and texture were different from usual fries.
Mushroom Barley Porridge. This was surprisingly nice.
Yea that's the plan.
