Conditori La Glace
Located just a 15-minutes walk away from my hotel, it was a no-brainer for me to have breakfast at Conditori La Glace every morning. I mean, come on, it's famous, it's walking distance (AND WORTH THE WALK), and damn, their pastries were SO MINDBLOWINGLY GOOD.
1st Morning:
OMG THIS DANISH PASTRY WITH RASPBERRY JAM WAS SO GOOD?!! Insanely crispy on the outside, light and airy on the inside. It's like eating a crispy cloud.
I just can't. It makes me so sad to be looking at this now but not have it in my mouth.
Their iced chocolate was sooooo good as well like I swear it's the best iced chocolate I've ever had. None of the chocolate syrup trash. This is the real deal. (I think the cream played a huge role too.)
Sportskage (aka Sports Cake), which is more like a pile of cream than cake lol. I enjoyed it because I love cream, but even then, I will probably never order this again. This is just one of those good-to-try-once kind of thing. Really sweet, good cream (the same cream in the iced chocolate), with some crispy praline.
2nd Morning:
For all my three visits I was always the first and only customer there (I'm usually there 5 minutes before they open). And this pastry hadn't even made it to the shelves yet; it literally came right out of the oven to me.
Strawberry tart! It was nice, but my mind's still stuck on that danish pastry.
3rd Morning:
I contemplated buying a box of pastries home to Singapore, but figured they wouldn't taste as good after the long travelling time.
I left a piece of my heart in Conditori La Glace, and will be back to leave more pieces of my heart there in future, I hope. LOL. I leave pieces of my heart everywhere.
(That's a Kanelsnegl next to the pastry, aka a Cinnamon Roll. It was good, just not as good as the pastry. I suppose there's nothing that's better than the pastry. OH, Pancakes from The Breakfast Club in London hmmmmmmmmmmmm)
