When I was heading towards Gangnam on my 2nd day (during work), the driver drove past this place (well, Gangnam is over on the other side of the Han River) and I was so amazed by how beautiful it is. Blue waters with lalangs on the side, it's breathtakingly beautiful, to me at least.
Well, Han River is a tourist attraction and the touristy spot is over at the other side of the river (which means it is far away).But the thing is, I wanted to come back to this same spot. And so I looked at the map and made a guess which train station should I get off.
Luckily I made a right guess, and I'm so glad that I came!
This part of the river is a recreational spot for the locals. I was the only tourist there, hehehe.
After that, I headed back to Myeongdong for my brunch and haircut!
Abalone Porridge which was SO GOOD.
Don't worry, you'll get to see my hair in a bit.
Met Gekkhim after that and we went to Bukchon, Samcheong-dong and Insa-dong! They are all around the same area.
As if I look like this all the time when I cross the road.
I must say that the ice cream in Korea is really nice. Must be the milk.

Korean dragon beard candy! The guy selling it offered to do a demonstration, and I think the reason why we bought it is more for his effort than because we really wanted to try it (I mean, well we did want to try it also la). With his limited english, he was explaining the steps of making the candy and even had a song for it! Basically this candy is made up of 16000 strands of honey (he started with a piece of rock hard honey and then he started pulling it like hand-pulled noodles) Like he really went "1 + 1 = 2" "2 + 2 gives you 4" "4 + 4 = 8" and blah blah blah ALL THE WAY TO 16000.
In the middle of his little mathematical addition song, gekkhim and I looked at each other and thought "is he really going to go all the way?!" and yea, he did.
It tasted nicer than I expected.
After that, we went to her apartment!

We were both craving for budae jigae, but somehow we couldn't find any place that sells budae jigae in Hongdae! We walked around searching for it for close to an hour. In the end we saw this place that sold jigae, and settled for it.
quite meh.
Hongdae is really nice!

Since we were at Hongdae, we decided to head over to style nanda for their (free) photobooth!
It took us quite a while to find it, which got us pretty frustrated again hahaha
