after months of trying... we finally got a much-coveted slot at wala pizza!!

started with a cold appetiser of za'atar with prawns-

our first main pizza was a purple pear pizza with gorgonzola. this is how the pizza looks like before the toppings-

Jenna the chef was quite particular about how she wants us to eat her pizza. So we had to use a scissors to portion the pizza to avoid destroying the delicate structure of her pizza. And then we had to use a scissors to cut the crust away from the slice and eat them separately.

we were served a yuzu and coconut palate cleanser before the fourth pizza-

Chef Jenna has a background in food science, which probably explains her sensitivity to palate profiling and flavour pairing. But of course, her talent and creativity is innate.

We were served a watermelon and strawberry bingsu which also served as a palate cleanser before we moved on to our dessert pizza.

Overall I think it's worth a try if you are a serious pizza lover, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon because it's quite pricey. SGD1116 for a table up to 6 pax (which means even if you go with just 2 pax it's going to cost the same and you'll be served the same amount) 

BUT I'm not saying it's not worth the price. It's a really good experience!

Chef Jenna's passion for pizza is really out of this world. Her eyes were literally shooting love bubbles when she looks at her pizza (even PICTURES of her pizza). How lucky to find something that you are so passionate about! 

And I wonder how it feels to have something that you are so passionate about. I mean, I have many interests and I consider myself lucky to be able to commit time on things that I love doing, like drums, but I can definitely live with not playing drums... Hmmm...
