day two // keukenhof
Tickets for the garden have a timed entry and we were running a little late from royal flora (I didn't expect that place to be so interesting and stayed longer than expected) so we literally had to run to the gardens
and also run to the whisper boat pier because the tickets were timed as well and no rebooking to refund will be issued if we miss it.
the weather got really bad after we got on the boat LOL
Got a unicorn ice cream after the boat ride-
There was a huge indoor garden so we (well, most of the people in the gardens actually) went there while it was raining
There's apparently over 800 tulip varieties on display in the gardens! I had never seen so many tulips (and so many different types of tulips) before!
This is my favourite tulip. It's called one direction LOL. Kinda looks like raspberry ripple ice cream hahaha
Got lunch from the food trucks:
There's alot of other indoor flower exhibits!
Keukenhof is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year! Apparently they are only opened for 8 weeks a year?! It's usually closed during the rest of the year!?
WE SPENT 7 HOURS IN THE GARDEN LOL AND STILL DID NOT FINISH EXPLORING THE ENTIRE PLACE!!
Dutch barrel organ!
The organ plays book music which are made of perforated cardboard sheets. Super cool!!
Another typical day in the netherlands where we experience 4 seasons in a day LOL. It got warm and sunny in the afternoon!
Got this cute miffy in a baby onesie!!
