day one
was hoping that the cherry blossoms would still be in bloom (they bloomed a week before we came) but all of the flowers had fallen from the week-long rain LOL
The cherry blossom tress were donated by the Japanese Women's Club in 2000! Half of the 400 trees have a Japanese female name, and the other 200 trees have a Dutch female name.
Headed back to Amsterdam and took a canal ride before dinner-
Apparently the indonesian rice table is one of a must tries in Netherlands, so that's what we had for our first dinner there.
Given that we are southeast asians and we have easy access to the real deal (Indonesia is literally just right across us), we thought that the food was OKAYYYY... (but we would later learn halfway through our trip that it was one of our best meals because the food in netherlands is really MEHHH)
