Christmas dinner was a huge success, though it took me 5 hours to cook everything. I'm just super slow hahaha.
With Kopi at ECP for his training! That was his last lesson and we are doing the evaluation in Mid January, and I say we, because it's an evaluation on how well I can get Kopi to listen to me. I'm prepared to fail hahahahah
I am not a coffee person, but Kings Cart is soooo good!! If only it's closer to the drum studio... (I know it's only a 5 minutes walk away, but a 5 minutes walk out in this heat is 5 minutes of torture)
Spent 冬至 with Wanz at her place which is also like my second home hahah. I will forever be grateful to her family for adopting me for CNY人日 back during uni when my family was away!
Brought Kopi along too!
Haidilao with wanz at Bedok Mall which was our worst HDL experience ever!! I don't know if it's the outlet's problem or if we were just super unlucky to get an inexperienced/can't be bothered server, but it was a nope. It wasn't like they were rude, but we didn't receive any of the usual HDL treatment like 1) We had to put in the 虾滑 ourselves 2) No ladling of our first bowl of soup 3) NO APRON PROVIDED EVEN THOUGH I WAS WEARING WHITE 4) Locked our ordering tablet and generated the bill when we were only halfway through
I'll still go to HDL for sure, just not to Bedok's HDL.
Dinner at Kamoshita with the MT people! It still feels weird to be meeting at the place we train in non-workout clothes, though I've been doing that more times than I actually trained this month.
This month is just a terrible month.
I had very high expectations for Kamoshita because the reviews I read were great, and this meal was so long overdue! We were supposed to eat here back in April, and then there was the heightened alert, and then we rescheduled it to August, and then we had to reschedule again because of the heightened alert. So here we are, finally trying this place in late December. But anyway, it was mehhhh and super overpriced.
