It felt so surreal to see all the chefs you've been rooting for on TV, cooking right in front of you. Where you no longer have to imagine how their dishes would taste and smell like, because you actually do get to taste and smell them.
It was nothing short of amazing. Yeah it was pricey, but worth every penny!
But I have to say it was definitely more like a show than a showcase (of the chef's culinary skills). All of the featured chefs were charismatic in their own ways. Food wise, there were hit and misses. But the misses were a problem of my personal preference, that's all.
& a big shout out to 大姐 Daphne for arranging VIP seats for us! We had the best seats in the house - the kitchen counter seats! Which means we got to see all the action going on in the kitchen, and also lots and lots and lots of interaction with Marco Pierre White.

He was giving his autograph out freely without us even asking HAHAH not that I'm complaining. That was really cute!
And there was this "Name The Ingredient Challenge" where we actually won the consolation prize?! The prize was... another autograph from Chef Marco! hahaha
Ok here's what we had:
1st Appetiser: Dashi Tea Broth, Caramelised Lychee Puree, Egg White, Cured Hamachi and Scallop, Daikon Cress, Shiso Circles & Green Apple
2nd Appetiser: Octopus, Fava Beans, Potato Confit, Parsley & Olives
Pasta: Broccoli Rabe Ravioli, Sage Butter, Tomato Concasse & Pine Nuts
Meat: Charred Mangalica Pork, Glazed in Hawthorn Sauce, Brown Butter Puree, Charred Onion Shells, Micro Mustard Greens & Fried Nori Crumb
Meat: Braised Beef Short Ribs, Tamarind, Gula Melaka, Fermented Soy Beans, Lemongrass, Kaffir Lime Leaves, Chillies & Shallots
Dessert: Bougatsa, Semolina Custard, Cinnamon, Filo & Spiced Poached Pears in Vinocotto
