Day 6: Lisbon (Christmas Eve)
The locals pronounce it as lish-boa, which I find it super cool hahah
Chrismas eve was spent in Lisbon, and sadly there was a lack of Christmas feel totally. The shops close as early as 4pm (some didn't even bother opening..) and by 7pm even McDonald's were closed. Apparently their Christmas eve is something like our Chinese New Year's eve, where people rush home for reunion dinner! It's interesting to see different countries practicing different customs. Like in UK, the bigger deal is Christmas Day's lunch.
closed closed closed so many attractions were closed :(
But fortunately, Pastéis de Belém was open! Got to try the real deal and it's AH-MAZING.
Their hot chocolate is super good too! Very thick, but smooth down the throat.
Small christmas market for people to do some last minute gift shopping! (Apparently they swop gifts on the 6th of January instead!)
I happily thought that this was a peanut butter filled churro (since I had zero idea what the label said and communication was a struggle..)
it was caramel.
so the sweetness level 100000.
That said, the churro itself was so good! Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. yumz!!
Even more churros after that! That was the only time I had sugar coated churros! Most of the time I had churros with hot chocolate, superrrrrrr awesome.
While on the way up to Cabo da Roca, we stopped by the road because the view was simply breathtaking.
Honestly my pictures didn't do any justice to how beautiful the view was.
The colours are not right, and I just can't seem to edit it correctly.. such a shame!
Just pull me a chair and I can stay here forever.
Cabo da Roca! The place where a Polish couple fell to their death in 2014 while trying to take a selfie, right in front of their children!
I have concluded that my favourite places to visit are ones with 漂亮的海岸線!!!
Tried some cherry liquor in a chocolate cup at this place!
Our christmas eve feast hahaha
