We made our way to the hotel after touring around Windermere!

The facilities in the hotel were quite run down, but still lovely. While I said that I love my hotels clean and modern, at the end of the day if I can only choose one criteria, then it has to be clean. At least the bathroom there was very clean!
They were still using a very old-school elevator with a metal folding gate! That was the highlight for me.

The view from our room!

Waking up to this view is ♥

Complimentary tea and cake!
The next day we went to the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Or rather, because of it's inaccessibility, I went to the Castlerigg Stone Circle alone.

I really feel that this one > Stonehenge. Just based on the fact that I was the only person there, added lots of brownie points.
As I said, Castlerigg Stone Circle isn't exactly tourist friendly because:
#1. There's no carpark nearby.
#2. The signage weren't super clear.
#3. You have to climb over a stone wall to get there.

Having to climb over a stone wall added lots of brownie points as well. That's so fun! Like having to work a little bit before getting to see it. Just like how I had to hike up to 烏來瀑布, which is probably why it's still the prettiest waterfall in my heart.

Mandatory selfie! I remember wishing that there's some other tourist there so I could ask them to help me take a photo. Hmmm, not so good to be the only person there I guess.

How did they move these stones back then without the help of technology?

Ahhh how pretty! With snowcapped mountains at the background and all.
After that we headed off to the Whisky Distillery! I'm no whisky connoisseur, so it was quite funny during the tasting session because I couldn't tell if that's a good or bad one.

Still, a very interesting experience!

Hot chocolate break!

LOOK AT THIS.

AND THIS.

The next morning we went to the town center of Keswick!

A small town with all the basic stores that residents need. Banks, pharmacy, etc.

Can you imagine living at such a place?! With such a view right at your doorstep!

We also went to a pencil museum, which is a super informative and interactive museum!

I didn't know that!

And then we left.
Hope to visit other areas of The Lakes in future!
