Lake District, also known as The Lakes, is a place where I know I've been there before but have no recollection. And so this trip definitely felt like the first for me! The 3 things that I said the most while I was there were "wah so pretty!", "wah so beautiful!", and "wah the view is amazing!".
I was in such a picturesque environment where my brain just stopped functioning and all I could do was to take in the view, and breathe.
I've tried my best to shoot as many of the amazing sights as possible but none of the photos did them any justice!

It was a 3 hours drive up to The Lakes!

Narrow and winding roads leading up to The Lakes!

The Lake District is a huge area, and the parts that we went to were Windermere, Keswick and Borrowdale!

Apparently it's a "world famous gingerbread shop", but I'm not a fan! But then again, I'm not a fan of gingerbread in the first place, anyway.

What you are looking at, is the best plate of pasta I had while I was in England! It's some cream based pasta with spinach, peas and smoked trout. So damn good! And the thing is, it's not even from a proper Italian restaurant - it's from a cafe housed in Lakeland, a huge kitchenware store, called "First Floor' Café".

Windermere!

Because it was freezing, I was the only passenger on the open deck.
I mean like please, the cold never bothered me anyway. (hahah!)

Look at the snowcapped mountains! I felt like I was in Switzerland (not that I've been there before, but.) throughout my short stay at The Lakes.
While we were driving up to The Lakes, we started seeing snowcapped mountains as were getting closer and closer to our destination, and the view was just ❤❤ (see first photo of this post!)

I don't know about you, but I can definitely see myself living here.
