I was really looking forward to CATS. I mean, I have been hearing about it from my conductor since my secondary school band days. About how amazing the music is. About how prestigious it is to land a role in the accompanying orchestra.
And imagine my disappointment when they used an electronic keyboard orchestra. It was disappointment right from the first note.
Doesn't help that I didn't understand what was going on LOLL (Jervis gave me a little crash course during the interval but I was still pretty much ignorant lmao I even asked if the battle scene is coming up soon WHEN IT JUST ENDED LIKE LOL I COULDN'T EVEN TELL THAT WAS THE BATTLE SCENE)
CATS, meh.
Went to catch a movie after that in hope of making up for the terrible musical experience and we caught Bring back the dead, to my reluctance. Movie was pretty decent for a local production though.
We'll just go catch a Chinese opera next time. Something in Chinese, or something with subtitles.
