Lowercase People II - Sharks & Mars
DSC07589edit

The Open Mic session on Tuesday was the first gig that my team booked for Sharks & Mars.

The crowd was amazing. I have to admit that I didn't promote this event to my friends, since I thought it's a public event and Lowercase should have their own crowd. But anyway quite alot of UB people came down to support them! And this really showed me how important supporters are, because for the other performers who had significantly lesser supporters, it was very obvious that the energy level was quite low.

But when you have a lot of supporters, the energy level is just... great. And the cheers can easily cover any bloopers you make.

My name appeared on the board of performers instead of the band because we signed them up under my name. And this also shows how unsuitable my name is as a performer. It's so not indie. And to quote my lecturer, "sounds like a hokkien rock band". True.

This marks the end of a tiring week! I had a little breakdown on Wednesday when Wenchuan asked what's up and, I guess it's the combination of his Ted face(in a good way of course) and that comfortable feeling of being with friends (since none of my friends are in my Music class, so I really miss the feeling of being somewhere where you know everyone well), so I started ranting.

But anyway, ranting was surprisingly helpful in clearing my thoughts so I'm feeling so refreshed now.
