(belated) Present exchange! & a horror story
DSC06221edit

I really think that my Christmas this year is quite.... 惨淡。There's still the good food, but presents wise... I only received 2. Which is quite disappointing, because Christmas is the next only occasion where I'll receive presents. But then again, it's not like I bought presents for a lot of people (I only bought presents for 3 friends) so I guess that's fair...

We went to 85 for dinner, and then went to Creamier for dessert BUT it was so packed, like you'd think they are doing some sort of buy 1 get 10 free promotion, but actually it's just their normal crowd. So we headed off to Udders instead.

BEST CARROT CAKE. Because I love my bak chor mee dry, I don't find the legendary bak chor mee at 85 appealing at all. (they had a 30minute waiting time yesterday) So I'll always have carrot cake when I'm 85.

IMO, the best bak chor mee goes to ABC food market's Lao Jian Cheng.

CHAI CHEE PORK ZHOU. That's how we call it. We don't call it chai chee pork porridge, or chai chee zhu rou zhou. You got to mix it and say chai chee pork porridge. damn yumz.

Waffles at Udders! But I really want to try the waffles and ice cream at Creamier. Shall head back there next time!

My chio friend, who makes me look bad in every photo together.

Anyway, here's a horror story that I want to share:

While having ice cream with eleen, I was dying to tell her this horror story that I heard a few days ago. It's about this person who somehow got himself to this train station that doesn't exist, and then disappeared. The weird thing is, he was on BBS while that happened, asking people for help and describing his situation. And then all of a sudden, he just said all is good and then disappeared. I'm not doing the story justice at all so please read it over here (it's in chinese!)

Anyway, point is I didn't tell eleen the story in the end, cos somehow our conversation just moved on to something else. That aside, I've always found stories about people disappearing/vanishing very scary. To me, 看不见的才是最恐怖的。 That's why I think that the scariest horror movie I've ever watched is Paranormal Activity 1 (2,3,4 are just bleah) and Blair Witch Project. I watched conjuring and I didn't find it scary since it's clear what entity we were dealing with.

So moving on, on our way home from novena, I took the PIE towards Changi, and we were on the right way home. I've taken this expressway countless of times, it's a fairly easy route, just go straight all the way. I could recognise the landmarks/roadmarks and all, so I'm really 99% sure.

And then after talking for a while, things started to get weird. I see exits pointing to Yio Chu Kang, Mandai...etc. In short, we were heading towards woodlands. WHICH IS REALLY WEIRD. Because I don't remember taking any exits. It's just so weird. How can I get lost on a route that I'm so familiar with? And it's like going in a completely different direction...

And then I started thinking about that horror story. Luckily eleen was with me, or I would really be freaking out. We got home safely, thank heavens, but I still don't understand what went wrong.
