worth the hype
DSC04267edit

my short time in beijing meant that I had no 5 hours to spare queuing for the much hyped about 四季民福

so my game plan was to visit a ulu branch (so ulu that the driver didn't know and didn't believe it exists) right when they open at 10:30AM

it worked! so friends, if you want to try 四季民福 without queuing, head to the 望京南湖东园店(NOT to be confused with the similarly named 望京店 which is within the same neighbourhood but a lot busier)

!!!!! 10/10

the 北京烤鸭 in beijing is crazy good! not just the one from 四季民福, but you can go to the "worst" 北京烤鸭 restaurant in beijing and their duck will still be better than the best 北京烤鸭 restaurant in singapore lol

豆汁 and 焦圈!! I wanted my family (and all my friends) to try this for themselves since the moment I tried it 5 years ago because you won't get how foul-tasting it is until you try it youself LOL

the whole meal (including a pear with white fungus drink for all of us) cost SGD128. Not our cheapest meal in beijing, but a price you can't get for this quality in singapore for sure.
