roermond // maastricht
we stopped at a factory outlet in roermond while enroute to maastricht
Had lunch at a french bistro-
croque pulled chicken
grilled salmon
roast spring chicken
pasta napolitana
nutella banana crepe
we arrived in maastricht later in the afternoon-
弟弟蛮好看的 HAHAH
Dominicanen bookshop!
It's a bookstore housed in a centuries old Dominican church. Love the vibe in there!
With a crucifix-shaped table in the cafe at the back of the bookstore
these small brass plaques are called stolpersteine and are inscribed with the name and life dates of victims of nazi extermination. they are placed in the pavement in front of the victim's former residence.
maastricht is my least favourite city in the netherlands. I find it so smelly (the city reeks of urine??) and I felt so unsafe the whole time.
Dominicanen bookshop after they've closed. Interesting door they have!
We went back to the restaurant by the bookstore for dinner. It was very busy earlier in the afternoon and I thought it'll be nice to sit there and people watch too
Just that there's no more people to watch when we went back for dinner because most of the shops have closed by then LOL
