grand buddha at ling shan // wuxi
LEG DAY
临时抱佛脚 literally hahaha
I love that most attractions in China, okay well, I can't say whole of China, but at least most attractions I visited in Shanghai/Suzhou/Hangzhou sells popsicles in the shape of that attraction!
There's also a spectacular water fountain show in the evening telling the story of the birth of the Buddha
The mini Buddha rotates 360 degrees
and the lotus petals folds back up at the end of the show
took the shuttle to the Lingshan Brahma Palace
this place looks and feels like the buddhist version of the sistine chapel!
window to sukhavati, very mesmerizing actually. I must have looked into it for at least 10 minutes??
Would love to spend more time here (had to leave then because we got there pretty late and they were closing then)
well, the good news is there's a direct flight to wuxi (via jetstar, apparently) so it shouldn't be difficult to visit this place again!
