Chef's Table by Chef Stephan Zoisl

If there's only one restaurant that I can go to for the rest of my life, then this is it. Well thankfully it's just a hypothetical situation but hey, I mean it. It's my favourite place.

Affordable tasting menu - check ($150 for 8 courses, what a steal!)
Imaginative menu - check (menu changes daily according to the ingredients they get!)
Generous portions - check (this is literally the only fancy dining place which filled me up from the food and not from all the waiting in between courses lmao)

If you are new to fine dining and are looking for an entry point, then this is the place for you.
If you are a seasoned diner with a jaded palate, this is also the place for you.

Look, this is just the place.

Cheek By Jowl used to hold this spot in my heart, until they shuttered and reopened as a bistro which is just not the same.

Food here is served omakase style. You will be presented with a list of ingredients, where you'll then tell the chef ingredients that you don't like. For example, no oysters and lamb for me.

Scallop Ceviche. This came out in like less than five minutes after we were seated. Talk about quick.
