Itsukushima Shrine
DSC02626edit

Throughout the 10 minutes ferry ride across to Itsukushima, I was thinking if the shrine was going to be a disappointment again. Just like how the famed torii gates at Fushimi Inari-taisha disappointed me greatly with it's wrong shade of orange.

Of course, how can the torii gates be wrong? It's been like that for eons. It's entirely my bad. I've been thinking of them in the wrong shade of red/orange my whole life and was just so taken aback by the difference that it transformed to disappointment rofl

It's not a mindblowing attraction, not to me at least.

The deers on the island though

They were actually pretty aggressive when it comes to asking for food?!

My mum brought it upon herself, really.

She succumbed to their cuteness and fed one of them. And of course the deer got relentless and started chasing and head butting my mum lmao it's hilarious. And whatever they said about them "bowing" to ask or thank you for food is really just them head butting you

You can consider dropping by Itsukushima for the deers, if not for the Shrine.
