Day 5: Express Bus Terminal // Garosu-gil // Common Ground // Kondae
if you look closely, you can actually spot a tan line (update: it has been close to 2 weeks since I got it AND IT'S STILL THERE)
breakfast prepared by my host! CAN I HAVE THIS EVERYDAY♥
this is the little window at the top of the room which we always leave it open so that it'll cool down the room (there's no air-conditioning in the room! no fans as well.)
but this means noise. Like, birds chirping at 5am. Or your neighbour's drunken ramblings at 3am.
hahah but honestly, I miss them now
lunch at an eatery at express bus terminal (where we went crazy. It's THE place to go shopping in Seoul!)
bibimmyeon
I had no idea we were supposed to cut up the noodles before eating them, so the jokes were on us when we were struggling to eat and chew the noodles! It was only I was done when I noticed other diners cutting up the noodles then I was like "ok I see what you are for, scissors"
naengmyeon
Garosu-gil later in the afternoon!
mango bingsu, perfect for the heat
one of the many quirky boutiques
Common Ground
we were as tired as we looked
this is a really hip place!
7:58pm sky
my "i'm getting out of here because I don't get this exhibit" face
budae jjigae for dinner! The soup was so good
my "why am I even waiting for coffee when I don't drink coffee" face
anyway, I coerced (HAHA) mui to get an americano because we don't really see it in Singapore but it seems to be a common choice in Korea. And we see it all the time in dramas. I was really curious.
But anyway according to mui, it's just kopi-o kosong peng with laxative effects (HAHAH)
dinner round 2!
This is a really good business idea. How come we don't have it in Singapore!
and our host served us korean melons when we got back! This happened because on the night before, she saw me lugging a bag of apples up the hill back to her hanok which pretty much shows my love for fruits (otherwise why would you be willing to do that) so we got into a conversation about fruits and she went on to get us korean pears and melons for the subsequent nights
see what I mean about Koreans and their hospitality?♥
