Day 4: Bukchon Village // Samcheong-dong // Tongin Market
The day was spent exploring places close to our airbnb, which was located right in the heart of bukchon village.
Unfortunately the shop was closed, otherwise I would have checked out what this refrigerator for pants was about!
also, we had a very eventful time taking their public buses:
1) The bus did not stop for us even though we flagged the bus. We then found out that it was because we were not standing at the "right" spot, which was just 2 steps away (wtf) (also, THAT bus stop that we were at was not sheltered, so imagine waiting there under the hot sun, wtf again)
2) (Later on on the bus) We pressed the bell for the bus to stop but did not manage to squeeze out of the bus in time. It was really a slap in the face (like a literal slap in my face) because the door closed right when I was at the exit and it didn't bother re-opening the door even though I pressed the bell again.
It was still good fun though.
We tried the dosirak experience for lunch!
for 5000 won, you'll get a black bento box and a string of 10 coins, as pictured above.
so you'll just have to walk around the market and use the coins to exchange for the food that you want! It was really fun and I had such a hard time deciding what I want because the choices were endless ok AND EVERYTHING LOOKED SO AMAZING
as you can see, I got myself lots of meat hahaha
and muiz is more of a carbs kind of person
anyway, it was so hot that day that I got a nosebleed (I guess it was the heat + exhaustion)
and in times like that, I'm super thankful that I wasn't travelling alone
