Day 7: Budapest
Sauna is serious business.
I JUST HAD TO. (I regret not taking one when I was in Portugal!)
So anyway, we experienced the worst weather of our trip during our time in Budapest. It was raining non stop, and I was struggling between shielding my camera and trying to take a proper shot of the beautiful city.
Such a shame, really. Would love to visit Budapest again someday (and hopefully a time when the weather is great and the skies are blue)
Ancient ruins! They look much more impressive in real unlike this photo which is really mehhh.
chanced upon their changing of guards ceremony!
View from Fisherman’s Bastion
Citadella. The holes you see are left by the cannon/bullets during WW2!
Going all black to mourn for the weather.
Great Market Hall, which I think is more of a touristy market than ones locals go to.
And the food street was where 80% of the people in the market were at. Mad packed and super challenging to maneuver around the food street! We were tempted to stop and queue for one of the crepes, but it was just impossible.
Chain bridge, which connects Buda and Pest!
went for a river cruise in the evening!
