My dad was very disappointed (he probably still is) that he overlooked the long vesak day weekend and didn't plan a short getaway to anywhere, and so I wanted to prove to him that there's still alot of places to explore in Singapore and we don't have to travel out! So we went to the kranji countryside area

First stop was at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve! If only we had better weather in Singapore.. It's so hot and humid and urgh that I can't get myself to go out under the sun for more than 5 minutes.

Great educational exhibits which is really interesting!

And I don't know since when (okay first spotted during our Kyoto trip earlier this year) but my dad fell in love with taking photos of photos. Which is actually very funny because he always shows people those photos that he took (of the photos) and tell people that he took them, which looks quite legit LOL

Next stop, Bollywood Veggies!

Had lunch there, which was decent!
We also went to what used to be a dragonfruit orchard, but is now a piece of... confused land.

Because there's no more dragonfruit and everyone's more interested in their...pets
Went to Hay Dairies:

Gardenasia:

They had an annual farmer's market going on! But we were there too early :(
Went to the farmer's mart as well, which is super disappointing because most of the shops are vacant now..
And the last stop was at Pasarbella, which I think impressed my parents the most.

It's basically like one of those markets in Australia/UK (think Fremantle market and Borough market), and everything's just expensive but you will just want to buy everything anyway

And dinner at Bark's cafe. So basically it's just non-stop eating today hahahah
I love pigging out.
