It was a very impromptu trip, where I booked my tickets on a Tuesday and then flew off on the following Wednesday night.
I guess I was encouraged by how well I did for my solo trip to Korea last year (albeit a super short one), and so I decided to venture out abit more. To somewhere further away, but still easy and relatively safe to travel around.
And I'm also super lucky to have met all the right people. Everyone I approached was really nice and friendly, so no bad experiences at all!

Traveling to the hotel from the airport took half of my life away because of all the narrow steps, platform gaps, and other luggage unfriendly situations.
After many train transfers and wrong turns, I finally got to my hotel safely, albeit with sore arms and all.
Stayed at citizenM hotel! A modern and lovely hotel which I will definitely choose to stay at again! Perfectly sized rooms for single travellers, but might be too small for a couple. I don't know, maybe I just take up as much space as a couple would. But anyway, the hotel is really amazing and the only complains I have is the lack of a kettle and having to do a 12 minute walk (12 minutes, if you walk super fast) to the tube station everyday. Other than that, it is really amazing,

The view from my room! I opted for a street view room, because it's so cool to people-watch while you are about to go to bed! I left the blinds open even when I went to bed because I figured there's really nothing much to see about me if they really wanted to, but if you are shy and all you can always pull the blinds down.
Also, the room is super high tech. I will dedicate a proper blog post on it next time!

Rooms with the courtyard view, which I think is really awkward because you can technically look into the opposite room?!

Decided to cover some of the more touristy area, which is really just Big Ben and Westminster abbey because I was so mentally exhausted by then. I blame the luggage lugging, and maybe jet lag, and luggage lugging. Luggage lugging, definitely.
And and and and, there's a Breakfast Club outlet nearby my hotel!!! Which means I can go there during odd timings to avoid the queue!

ERMAHGERD❤ BEST PANCAKES I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST.
I died at the second slice. But it's a happy death.
Because I retired pretty early on the first day, I decided to start the next day earlier. And I thought that it'll be so nice and romantic to go catch the sunrise!
Which was a shit idea.
Shit, because the sunrise looks like this:

I forgot that the winter weather there translates to gloomy and cloudy skies. What a shit idea.
But anyway, I then realised it wasn't that bad of an idea to set off early because I managed to get into St. Paul's Cathedral for free! Sneaked in during their morning prayer service, which means I saved myself £15! And it's a very different experience, because most of the lights in there weren't lit yet; basically it just looks very different from when it's open for tourists. Still, it's very majestic. And it's nice to experience it in a different way from the last time I went in there.

Temple Bar Gateway!
Okay, I'm ending here for now. There's simply too much to share!
