Afternoon tea // Food high, sugar high





After 3 years, we finally fulfilled our afternoon tea date! Decided to try the one at ANTI:DOTE, which is at Fairmont Hotel. (Selina and I got lost while trying to find our way there, lol!)

Each set comes with one of the $11-range teas, which you can ask for a refill once.

Selina and I both got the eternal summer tea! Quoted from TWG: "A fragrant South African red rooibos, embellished with notes of sweet summer rose blossoms accented with raw berries which finish with a lingering aftertaste reminiscent of ripe Tuscan peaches. A theine-free tea to be enjoyed hot or iced at any time of the day."

Also, each set comes with a starter! You can either go with dimsum, or truffle scrambled eggs.

I chose the dim sum! It was decent, nothing fanciful.

Misa chose the truffle scrambled eggs! And she said that it's mindblowing-ly good. You are supposed to dip the soldiers into the scrambled eggs which are held in the egg shell!

AND HERE'S THE 主角!! When this came, I no longer had the heart to take photos so please note that all following photos were hastily taken.

There's 2 more layers which I somehow forgot to take photos of. Which I can understand, how could I still have the heart to take photos when all the food were screaming "eat me!" right in my face?!

Here's one of the ginger scones from the 3rd layer! There's a raisin scone as well.

The 4th layer holds some cookies and the clotted cream, lemon curd and jam for the scones.

And this, is my least favourite item. I find is really disgusting. The combination of a wet sponge underneath, and more wetness from the floating cream omg it's pure gross.

Or maybe because they used a squeeze dropper to hold the rum, and I can't help but associate squeeze droppers with other less appetizing things.

In all, the food was decent. And I'll definitely come back again because everything just looks so pretty!
