At the time when this post gets published, I'll still be working. Which is a first for me, to work through countdown.
And it's also how 2014 has been like for me: unpredictable (in a good way), best summarised as 今日不知明天事。
For example, I didn't plan to have a (somewhat) gap year after I graduate. I have always pictured myself to find a stable job right after I graduate and work till I die. I never thought I'll get to visit Korea. I never thought I'll spend my birthday overseas. But well, I am very lucky that opportunities come to me every now and then and I get to experience so many exciting new things.
So, here's a list of my top 10 best/most memorable moments of 2014!
#10: Electric Run
My first mini marathon (5km only, really got nothing to show off about), which feels more like clubbing than a run. Interesting experience, but will probably be my last one. Why should I pay to run when I can run for free?
#9: Graduating
Yawns. This is really more of a formality. Honestly, I don't feel more empowered with an additional piece of paper under my belt. But, it's in my top 10 cos it's a once in a lifetime kind of thing.
#8: Injuring my eye
I have always been prone to eye injuries when I was younger. And I remember months before this accident happened, I was thinking how did I feel back then when I injured my eye.
I think I jinxed myself. I definitely did.
#7: Spider Attack
The time when a sneaky huge palm-sized spider came inside our office through the door gap and scared the shit out of me. Thinking back about it still scares the shit out of me.

Because Mayday.
#5: Taiwan (pre)Grad Trip!
That's my first legit overseas trip with friends, and it's super fun! Tried so many new things, and experienced a place I'm familiar with in an entirely different way. Plus it's Taiwan, what can go wrong with my second home?
#4: Genki J-Pop Night!
My first event, of course it's memorable!
#3: Parasailing
也不知道是哪兒來的勇氣,但真的很好玩!
#2: Perth Work Trip
Felt like a roadtrip, and more like play than work. Plus, that's also where I spent my 22nd birthday. I even had a post-trip depression when I came back! I'll gladly do it again anytime!
I remember suddenly having this thought back in April where I'll be spending my birthday on a roadtrip; it's just a thought that came suddenly. And I ended up really spending my birthday on a roadtrip. If only all my thoughts can turn to reality.
#1: Seoulo Work Trip
This is the most exciting thing that has happened in my life. Again, I was watching running man one fine day and that episode was filmed in Everland, and I was like "Man I really want to visit Everland and take the T-Express ride!" and then like a week later, I was presented with the opportunity of going there for work.
Thinking back, I should have extended my trip for like a week instead of just 3 days! Seoul is such an amazing place, so amazing that it's threatening the spot of Taiwan in my heart as my favourite place next to home.
Also, not forgetting that it's a semi-solo trip for me. Ahhh seoul much fun.
So there you have it, my top 10 moments of 2014! Hope that 2015 will be even more exciting, where I'll get to meet new people will reconnecting with my old friends, where there will be more great music for us to listen to, where I'll say goodbye to the single life, where I'll find a job I like that I can settle down to, where everyone will stay healthy, and there's something worth feeling happy about everyday(:
