I had this really weird feeling as we roamed those blocks. It's like, this place used to be bustling but now it's just... empty.
Though I wouldn't call it a ghost town, and it's not like there's any horror stories surrounding it (since the place was cleared for an en bloc redevelopment), but it's still weird.
Anyway, we chanced upon this photogenic area while searching for a (hidden) ice cream parlour in Commonwealth area, called The Milk Way
Was very disappointed because it took us quite some effort to find it but the ice cream was just meh.

To be fair, the ice cream is above average. But the ice cream scene in Singapore is pretty vibrant nowadays and it's not hard to find a place that sells good ice cream. So I definitely wouldn't make the effort to come all the way here just for this standard of ice cream.
If the ice cream tastes out of this world then I wouldn't mind travelling, of course. You can stuff me with ice cream to death.
To me, death by ice cream is a good cause of death.
