My last day!

While 3 months isn't long, it isn't short either. Time really flies, it felt like it wasn't too long ago that I first went for the interview, then got the phone call, and then reported for work for the first time. photo DSC05119edit.jpg

I think I am really very lucky to get this internship, to be able to learn about something I'm very interested in, and most importantly, work with this amazing family! The environment and culture is great, and I L-O-V-E the casual dress code (I wear shorts to work almost everyday)!

I can still remember the anxiety I had during my first 2 weeks, feeling uncertain how everyone is like, and was constantly worrying if everyone hates me.

And also, worried about how I'll not be able to deliver since I have completely no faith in my education.

I think the key takeaway from this internship is to be resourceful. To be able to think on your feet, and play be ear.

My awesome department! As if getting this internship is not enough, I must have hit the ultimate jackpot to be in the Regional Marketing Department. I think most of you probably know by now that I mainly listen to 2 kinds of music - Chinese music and British Rock. Therefore, I really lack a lot of knowledge and background when it comes to English songs (since American music makes up quite a bulk of it) But anyway, my dream a long time ago was to be a journalist for a Chinese paper! And I've never stopped loving the idea of writing/working in Chinese.

While the proper phrase should be "I go to seek a great perhaps", in my case, I would say "I've gone to seek the great perhaps"I started out with lots of uncertainty, with so many questions about the industry that I am so interested in. Of course, 3 months is far from enough for me to learn a lot,  but at least now I have a rough idea of how things work.

I remind myself every single day at work that I should give my 200% because I am learning for 2 people. The first one being a person who wants to work in this area in future, and the second, for simply being a great music fan.

But I must confess that I don't really have a lot of things to do most of the time, so I'll end up watching documentaries from VICE (omg it's my fav, youtube channel. PLEASE SUBSCRIBE TO IT.), watching playbacks of Jimmy Fallon, and checking out new bands. #sorry

So I guess this is it huh (*reaches out for tissues*)

Best Summer of my life ;")
