I got to know about this ride through a video that was circulating around FB, before this trip was even planned I think.

the view from the top wasn't amazing, to be honest. I think the beauty of Amsterdam is better appreciated up close, rather than from afar. The skyline wasn't the prettiest I've seen, that's for sure. But it's the experience of the swing ride, literally seeing the world beneath your feet, that's the amazing part.
I have totally underestimated the queue though. I queued for about an hour and a half from where I took this photo.
